About the Author
William A. Everett joined the music history faculty at the Conservatory of Music, University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1998. Prior to this, he taught at Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas, for twelve years. He holds degrees from Texas Tech University, Southern Methodist University, and a Ph.D. from the University of Kansas. His areas of research include the American musical theater and the music of the U.K., Croatia, and Finland. He remains active as a violist and is a member of the Lawrence (Kansas) Chamber Orchestra.
